What comes after TMS?

Congratulations, you've had 36 treatments of TMS and experienced a full remission of your depression! Now what?

The data says that this effect should last for at least one year. I have seen this happen for lots of people, and for some it's even more than one year.

But data isn't real life, where variability is the norm. The pattern I see most commonly is a little bit of a dip in mood around month 3-4 post-TMS.

But there is GREAT NEWS. Boosters work extremely well in TMS. That means, a person with a good end result from TMS could come back in and with as little as ONE additional treatment, get "reset" right back to where they were at the end of the course.

I believe strongly in keeping in touch with my patients after they finish TMS, helping them track their moods, and encouraging them to come back in for a boost with the slightest sign of a dip. Through this method I have seen the life-changing effects of a TMS course continue to last as long as possible, without necessitating a full new course.
